Glen and Crisina Jackson moved from the East Coast to Sacramento, California in 1984. Theirs was a one-income family. With a BS Degree in Business Management and a natural entrepreneur, Crisina thought of starting a business. Seeing an increasing need for quality care facilities in the area, Crisina zeroed in on care facilities.
Jacksons Facilities, Inc. was Crisina’s first care facility. It was a 12-bed care home for adults with disabilities. It was licensed in 1989, and has since served a good number of adults from 18 to 59 years of age. Average length of stay of clients at the care facility was 7 years. Some had even stayed for more than 12 years. Good service, caring staff, and camaraderie among the clients are the reasons for their long stay.
With more social workers calling for client placement. Soon, Crisina was developing a good track record in running care home facilities. Clients were very satisfied with the care they were receiving in the homes. Clients’ families, conservators, as well as placement agencies, were pleased, too. And best of all, her care home facilities were getting good reviews from LPAs in the Sacramento Licensing Office.
Today, our newest facility is Holy Family Home for the elderly. We now have five facilities, which have distinct specialization from the other. Over the years, we realized the need for a special setting for every aging concern.
